I just finished a half-vacation in the US and am working my way back to Tokyo, stopping over in Minneapolis. It is an exciting season, with football starting, baseball heading towards the playoffs, the Olympics winding down, and the political season nearing its peak craziness with back-to-back party conventions. It's too bad I won't be around to witness it all Stateside, but I look forward to observing from Asia...
